MELINA MWENDA
Level III Colourist
Melina is a Level III colourist who grew up in the salon environment. Her aunt was a salon
owner in Belgium and Melina worked side by side with her mom and aunt performing various
duties in the salon. At a young age, Melina learned that you can be and do anything if you have
a strong work ethic.
Melina’s 20-year career spans from participating as an artist in hair shows and competitions
which eventually lead her to an 11-year teaching career in the industry instructing others how
to create beautiful hair.
As a seasoned member of the Scavo team, and with her extensive teaching experience, Melina
leads the colour department as an instructor. She is also an expert in working with different
curl patterns and is also sought out for her expertise in transforming hair through colour.
